Bollywood

Bollywood is named after the city Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) where it is based, in honour of its American counterpart.

The Indian film industry makes more feature-length films than any other country in the world. Already in the 1920s, more than 100 films were produced annually.

The typical Bollywood film is a melodrama and lasts longer than three hours and showcase Indian culture, dance, songs, and most importantly, romance. The films may be set in modern day or old times, and they always have a happy ending.
